Delicious Summer Knit Tops
When you are so hot you can only knit, you are still on time to finish and wear any of these tops. There’s still plenty of summer left.
I have knit many tops this summer, for the mother in law, for the sisters in law, for my best friend… Linen, cotton and silk. Let me highlight the ones I have enjoyed knitting the most.
Tulip Tank Top
Tulip Tank Top is the one I found more complex, because of the bottom short rows that also make up for a double flap back. It came out very heavy on my cotton and it pulls the neck down at the back. I’d suggest you use linen or silk. The construction is very ingenious, but you’ll get sick of purling 🙂 Free pattern.
Fingering weight yarn, 3 mm (US US 2½) needlesBy Purl Soho
Slope is wearing me down… so many miles of stockinette already, tiny stitches, short rows and a splitty cotton yarn that creates stitches out of nowhere that I have to manually fix one by one. It can be used as a summer sleeveless top or as a vest for fall with a shirt underneath.
